Position Summary:
WNC Laundry LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Professional Laundry Presser to join our team. The Laundry Presser is responsible for operating industrial pressing equipment and hand irons to remove wrinkles, shape garments, and provide a high-quality finished product. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining excellent garment presentation and care standards.

The Laundry Presser is responsible for operating industrial pressing equipment and hand irons to remove wrinkles, shape garments, and provide a high-quality finished product. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining excellent garment presentation and care standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate Equipment:
Utilize steam presses, hydraulic pressing machines, and hand irons to remove wrinkles from garments, linens, and specialty items. -
Garment Finishing & Shaping:
Properly shape and finish garments such as jackets, pants, dresses, and uniforms according to fabric type and company standards. -
Quality Control:
Inspect all items for stains, damage, or remaining wrinkles; perform touch-ups as needed to ensure a professional finish. -
Fabric Care Management:
Determine and apply appropriate temperature, pressure, and pressing techniques for various fabrics to prevent damage. -
Sorting & Packaging:
Sort garments by type, color, and finishing requirements; properly hang, fold, and prepare items for delivery or customer pick-up. -
Equipment Maintenance:
Clean and maintain pressing equipment, including routine care such as lubricating machines and cleaning filters to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:
Previous experience in laundry, dry cleaning, or garment pressing is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. -
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and work in a warm and fast-paced environment. -
Attention to Detail:
Strong focus on quality and precision when handling garments, especially delicate fabrics. -
Fabric Knowledge:
Basic understanding of different fabric types (e.g., cotton, silk, wool, polyester) and appropriate pressing techniques is preferred. -
Work Ethic:
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment:
This position requires working in a production/laundry facility environment that may be hot, humid, and noisy. Safety procedures must be followed at all times.
